Her responsibilities also include building proof of concept systems and participating in the development of new functionalities. Her expertise and leadership have been instrumental in advancing Payscale’s technological capabilities.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Parker was a principal technical consultant and architect at EQengineered from 2023 to 2024. During this time, she honed her skills in providing strategic technical solutions and consulting services. Her tenure at EQengineered was preceded by her role as a senior software engineering manager at Payscale from 2022 to 2023, where she led engineering teams in developing innovative software solutions.
From 2021 to 2022, Ms. Parker served as a senior director at Travelers, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing software engineering projects and driving technological advancements within the organization. Before joining Travelers, she held several key positions at Symplr from 2013 to 2021, including senior director of software engineering, director of architecture and software engineering manager. Her contributions at Symplr were marked by her ability to lead complex projects and implement cutting-edge technologies.
Ms. Parker’s career began at Amicore as a senior software engineer from 2000 to 2006, followed by roles at PC Connection as a senior Microsoft .Net developer from 2006 to 2008 and Toluna Corporate as a senior software engineer and later senior architect from 2008 to 2013. These early experiences laid the foundation for her technical acumen and leadership skills.
Her academic journey began with an associate degree in accounting from McIntosh College in 1996, followed by an associate degree in computer science from New Hampshire Technical College in Stratham in 2000. Ms. Parker furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2016.
Ms. Parker’s professional accomplishments are complemented by her civic involvement and recognition through various awards. She was actively involved with Safe Walk during her college years at Plymouth State College, where she led initiatives to reduce campus violence. Her efforts earned her the Excellence Award from Amicore in 2004 and multiple Presidential Awards from Healthcare Service between 2017 and 2019 for her innovative contributions.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Parker is dedicated to her family and enjoys traveling across the United States with them. She is also passionate about crafting, particularly knitting and crocheting. Looking ahead, she aims to continue making meaningful contributions to her organization by addressing fair pay across industries both domestically and internationally.
