TERRELL, NC, May 27, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Vincent Peter Stulginskis has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Demonstrating an extraordinary blend of technical acumen and educational dedication, Mr. Stulginskis has carved a distinguished path in both the military and civilian sectors. His journey began with his service in the United States Marine Corps, during which he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He honed his skills as a tank mechanic from 1969 to 1971, participating in significant military operations during the Vietnam War as well as maneuvers in Guantanamo Bay. The discipline and technical expertise he acquired during his service laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors in engineering and education.
Following his military service, Mr. Stulginskis pursued academic achievements that would propel him into a successful career. He earned a bachelor’s degree in math and computer science from California University of Pennsylvania in 1977, followed by a master’s degree in computer science from East Texas State University.
Mr. Stulginskis’ professional journey is marked by diverse roles across multiple fields. He began his civilian career with E Systems in Turrell, Texas, before joining Raytheon’s E Systems division from 1977 to 1981. His work with Commscope further solidified his expertise in computer science, vibration analysis and the post-processing of images. Transitioning into academia, he served as a college professor at Appalachian State University, Lenoir Rhyne University and Caldwell Community College, where he also held the position of head of VMware IT Academy.
In addition to his teaching roles, Mr. Stulginskis has made significant contributions as a freelance senior scientist. His work combines his longstanding expertise in radio frequency analysis and vibration analysis with a passion for astrophotography. Also engaging in educational outreach, he inspires more people to explore these fields and the wider scientific realm. His dedication to education is exemplified by a memorable encounter with a former student who praised one of his courses as both challenging and enlightening.
Mr. Stulginskis attributes much of his success to his tenacity. He is also grateful for the unwavering support of his wife, Dr. Francis Alice Bishopric, who has played a key role in his accomplishments. She encouraged him to explore his Lithuanian heritage by contacting the Lithuanian Embassy in Washington, D.C. This led to a connection with historian Alfonsas Eidintas, who had written a book about Aleksandras Stulginskis, Mr. Stulginskis’ great-uncle and an important political figure in Lithuania who advocated for democratic freedom. Dr. Eidintas had handwritten the entire book and needed it to be typewritten to have it published. Mr. Stulginskis had several of the secretaries at Commscope type the manuscripts, and the book, titled “President of Lithuania and Prisoner of the Gulag,” was published. The book is available on Amazon, but Mr. Stulginskis cautions those interested that it is “a difficult read.”
Mr. Stulginskis often humbly refers to himself as “simply a mechanic,” emphasizing the critical role mechanics play in maintaining society’s infrastructure. His perspective underscores his commitment to problem-solving and resilience in the face of various challenges.
In his personal life, Mr. Stulginskis enjoys bicycling and playing tennis, activities that reflect his active lifestyle. Residing in Terrell, North Carolina, he and his wife happily share their home with their two Chesapeake Bay retrievers, two golden retrievers and two cats. Despite recent setbacks caused by hurricanes affecting one of his properties, he remains focused on advancing his astrophotography pursuits by enhancing mapping techniques.
Throughout his career, Mr. Stulginskis has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence across various domains. His achievements are a testament to the power of education, perseverance and the support of loved ones in overcoming obstacles and achieving professional fulfillment.
