From 2020 to 2022, she contributed as Head of Product Management and Director for North America at Cognizant, being promoted from Field Product Management Lead and previously Associate Director. Her early career includes roles as a Product Manager at Accenture from 2015 to 2018, a Corporate Affairs Manager at Eli Lilly and Company (now Lilly) and a Project Manager at Cedars-Sinai.
Ms. Bauer worked in this last position as a Project Manager for several years immediately following college. During this time, she worked for an individual who was highly innovative and technologically minded, focusing on addressing the frustrations and inefficiencies within the health care system through technology. This work sparked Ms. Bauer’s lifelong career interest and prompted her to pursue a higher education degree.
Ms. Bauer’s expertise in healthcare technology and building digital health products is well-recognized. Educationally, Ms. Bauer holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategy and Change Management from London Business School, earned in 2015. This degree was built on the foundation of her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Corporate Finance and Strategic Management, which she obtained from the University of Southern California in 2008.
Ms. Bauer’s diverse childhood experiences have significantly influenced her personal growth and professional empathy. Born in Sydney, she moved to the United States at a young age and lived in various cities, including Buffalo, New York, Los Angeles, London and Charlotte. These experiences have enriched her understanding of different cultures and honed her listening skills, both of which have aided her professionally. She was immersed in health care growing up and was thus familiar with the pain points of the industry and primed for her own success.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Bauer is actively involved in civic organizations. She served as a board member and board adviser for Carolina Women in Tech from 2019 and a launch adviser for Forte Foundation from 2020 – 2022.
Outside of her career, Ms. Bauer enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband — an Army veteran and entrepreneur — and their daughter and son. In her free time, she is an avid reader and enjoys hobbies such as exercising, cooking, and traveling.
