Ms. Pace, an accomplished professional with more than 15 years of experience, is the chief design officer at Baker Hill, a creator of centralized loan origination software for commercial, small business and consumer loans. In this role, she oversees a talented design team in providing software services for smaller banks and credit unions. Her expertise in financial technology, commercial and small business loan origination, and software creation has been instrumental in her success. A strong believer in Malcolm Gladwell’s “10,000 hours” theory, she is a hard worker who is dedicated to becoming an expert in whatever she sets her mind to.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Pace served from 2021 to 2025 as the head of design at GOBankingRates, where she significantly increased the platform’s user base from 5 million to 15 million monthly users. She also built a design team that expanded from one member to sixteen across the United States and Mexico. Her leadership resulted in the highest retention rate within the company, a testament to her ability to create a collaborative and non-competitive work environment.
Before joining GOBankingRates, Ms. Pace held various roles at Fiserv from 2019 to 2021, including senior UX designer lead, team lead for UX, and UX manager; her work at Fiserv earned her accolades, including the IDC FinTech Real Results Winner award in 2020 for a banking app for small credit unions. Her earlier career included positions as a senior UX designer at Tail Light from 2015 to 2019 and as a senior art director at RealPage Inc. from 2012 to 2015.
Ms. Pace’s career journey began with roles such as creative director at Copart from 2011 to 2012 and marketing and communication manager at PennBarry Air System Components from 2008 to 2011. She initially started her career designing engineering documents before transitioning into user experience design, which became a pivotal point in her professional development.
Highly credentialed, Ms. Pace’s educational background includes a Master of Business Administration in ethical leadership from Schreiner University in 2021 and a Bachelor of Arts in communication and design from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2008. Additionally, she holds certifications as a SAFe 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile Inc. and a User Experience Certificate from Udemy.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Pace is dedicated to her family and enjoys spending time with her two children. In her leisure time, she can be found watching her daughter play soccer, going to the gym, practicing yoga and meditation, and cooking. She is passionate about advocating for designers and empathetic leadership while continuously striving for personal growth.
