Research funding from 2020 to 2026 highlights Lino GmbH’s impact and innovation for Industry 4.0
Since its foundation in 2007, Lino GmbH has focused on “Leading Innovation” in accordance with its slogan to develop sustainable optimization potential together with industrial customers. In July 2024, the Bescheinigungsstelle Forschungszulage (BSFZ) confirmed the eligibility of the Lino application for the development started in 2020 on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The first modules of the overall solution will be marketed starting in October 2024. Additional features are expected to be developed by the end of 2026.
The application relates to the development of a web-based, modular platform that uses a novel bottom-up concept. This enables the creation and management of complex 3D geometries and their data conversion using the configurators or systems used by the customer.
Significant aspects of the development project are:
– Development of a modular platform and a standardized, dynamic data model for universal application of individual core modules
– Reduction of data quantity and available conversion of rule sets and 3D CAD data into web visualization format
– Usage of integrated test scenarios
– Improved connectivity to the software products used by the customer
– Versioning, modularization of components and products
– User-friendly administration tool for data maintenance with product planning and documentation
Lino Hub offers a universal configuration solution that can be flexible integrated into existing system landscapes such as CPQ, configurators, CRM, website, web store, ERP, PDM/PLM, PIM, CAD, and CAM. The platform brings together different systems based on 3D objects and will facilitate the exchange of information between different program modules. This improves connectivity, reduces processing and production steps and shortens quotation and order processes. Customers can use web-based 3D objects for configurators directly from CAD applications and assemble products in the web browser, optionally with integrated 3D visualization.
With Lino Hub, Lino GmbH offers a key software component for the digital transformation of industrial companies. Find out more about the Lino Hub integration platform at https://www.lino-hub.com/en/.
