The 2025 InclusionConference on the Bund officially concluded on September 13 at the Huangpu World Expo Park in Shanghai. Over the course of three days, the conference explored the theme of “Path to Innovative Growth,” bringing together global experts, industry leaders, and pioneering thinkers to discuss how finance and technology can drive innovation, sustainable development, and ultimately improve people’s everyday lives.

This year’s conference featured 45 thought-provoking forums with contributions from 550 technology and business leaders, including 16 distinguished scholars. Notable participants includedRichard Sutton, 2024 AM Turing Award Winner and Computing Science Professor at the University of Alberta; Yuval Noah Harari, historian, philosopher, and bestselling author of Sapiens ; and Wang Jian, Founder of Alibaba Cloud and Director of Zhejiang Lab. The event drew more than 60,000 attendees in person, while the live stream recorded over 20 million views. More than 50 new technology launches were also unveiled, underscoring the conference’s role as a global stage for innovation.
The conference also fostered meaningful connections across industries. Thirty-two startups were linked with eight major investors, while 206 enterprises took part in matchmaking sessions that resulted in over 40 cooperation agreements. A large-scale recruitment fair dedicated to tech talent drew more than 10,000 participants, generating 6,500 resumes submitted to prospective employers.
Complementing the forums, the Technology Exhibition and Technology Marketplace showcased the future of innovation in a combined 15,000 square meters of space. The exhibition set new records in scale, participating enterprises, featured projects, and product debuts. Serving as a testing ground for how emerging technologies-led by artificial intelligence-are rapidly entering daily life, the exhibition highlighted the accelerating pace of breakthroughs poised to transform industries and societies worldwide.
