Alex Foxen, Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen combine for more than $549,000 in winnings.
SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / June 11, 2026 / Americas Cardroom is highlighting a strong start to the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) after its three new Team Pros reached final tables in early-series events, combining for more than $549,000 in tournament earnings.
Alex Foxen, Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen, who recently joined the Americas Cardroom Pro Team, have each recorded notable results in Las Vegas while competing on poker’s biggest stages.
Kornuth finished sixth in Event #24: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed, earning $218,091. The founder of Chip Leader Coaching and a respected tournament strategist, Kornuth added another significant result in a high-stakes field.
Hunichen followed with a seventh-place finish in Event #25: $500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em, collecting $31,294. Known as “Big Huni,” Hunichen continued the momentum that has defined recent years of his career, including his 2024 WSOP $100,000 High Roller championship and first WSOP bracelet, which earned him over $2.8 million.
Foxen posted the deepest finish among the trio, placing fourth in Event #7: $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship for $300,000. A two-time GPI Player of the Year (2018 and 2019) and multiple WSOP bracelet winner, Foxen once again delivered a deep run against one of the summer’s toughest fields.
Combined, the three new Americas Cardroom Pros earned just under $550,000 through their final table appearances, underscoring the strength of the company’s recently expanded professional roster.
Foxen, Kornuth and Hunichen join a lineup of established poker professionals representing Americas Cardroom, including former WSOP Main Event champion Chris Moneymaker.
With much of the 2026 WSOP schedule still ahead, the Americas Cardroom Pro Team will continue pursuing deep runs and bracelet opportunities throughout the summer.
