Redesigned Site Offers Fresh Look, Enhanced Features, and Valuable Resources for Thayer County’s Growth and Community Engagement

The redesigned website, tceda.org, boasts a fresh, modern look that aligns with our organization’s new logo and branding colors. One of the standout features is the video banner header on the homepage, which enhances the user experience and brings a dynamic touch to the site. “We love the fresh new look paired with our new logo and colors,” said Carley Bruning, Executive Director at TCEDA. “The video banner is my favorite feature. We feel that the site just looks ‘cleaner’ and more user-friendly. It showcases that our website is current and up-to-date–some websites look stale and stagnant, but ours feels vibrant and active.”
The goal behind this redesign was to create an efficient, informative, and accessible online experience for the community. “Having a great website, a hardworking development team, and a skilled content writer behind the scenes is like having multiple employees for small economic development organizations,” Bruning added. “This site works for us and with us, putting important information at the fingertips of our website users.”
In addition to a visually appealing design, the new website offers several updated features, including a new employment page where open positions at TCEDA member businesses are listed. The employment page aims to serve as a one-stop-shop for job seekers near and far to access job opportunities in Thayer County. “We’re committed to supporting our businesses and communities, and this feature reflects TCEDA’s dedication to growing Thayer County and listening to the needs of our residents and members,” Bruning said.
This redesign is not only about modernizing TCEDA’s online presence but also about enhancing the organization’s marketing efforts. The website serves as a resource for communities across Thayer County, many of which may not have the time or budget to create their own online presence. “We offer each community a complimentary page on our site to help market our county from corner to corner,” Bruning noted.

TCEDA’s partnership with Golden Shovel has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. “Being a Golden Shovel client was very important when I took the job at TCEDA in 2020,” said Bruning. “Having worked with Golden Shovel at my previous job, I knew that I needed a team behind me to create an online presence for the county and our organization.”
