She served as the vice president of business sales for the cybersecurity and fed-gov division for the U.S. Western Region at rPM3 Solutions LLC from 2021 to 2022. Dr. Coon was also the director of cybersecurity for a U.S. government contractor between 2020 and 2021 and was a lead and ISSE architect for a $2 billion cybersecurity PPM at L3Harris Technologies from 2019 to 2020. Among other noteworthy roles, she worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigations, beginning in 2014 as an information technology (IT) examiner and then as an IT security manager and senior server administrator. Dr. Coon’s foundational experiences began to take shape with Woodbury Technologies Inc, dating to 2011, as an information technology manager and service administrator.

She received an undergraduate degree in information technology administration in management information systems in 2006 and a master’s degree in information security and assurance in computer and information systems security/information assurance from Western Governors University in 2013.
