The Happiest Minds acquisition of Aureus was a big milestone; Mr. Pakhira worked hard to transform a bootstrapped start-up by identifying market problems and scaling it to a level where it was eventually acquired.
In this role, he collaborates closely with his direct reports to develop innovative solutions and go-to-market strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction through rigorous analysis of satisfaction metrics and operational performance. He is also responsible for implementing corrective actions when issues arise, brainstorming new ideas based on emerging technologies and maintaining strong relationships with clients through active networking.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Pakhira was a co-founder and served as a Chief Operating Officer at the same firm from 2016 to 2024. He identified a need for digital native solution as a service model in the insurance pre-bound value chain and pharma commercial value chain. He identified niche areas where Aureus built software accelerators to help with rapid digital native transformations. As a result of this strategy and robust execution, in this period Aureus featured in Inc 5000 4 times in a row with 500% growth in revenues. He was instrumental in conceptualizing and putting a team together to build out Anvesa, a digital first and AI native legal eDiscovery platform as a subsidiary business of Aureus.
From 2014 to 2016, Mr. Pakhira held the position of head of research, development and software engineering for North America advertisement management solutions at Imagine Communications, a Gores Portfolio company. His most notable contribution this time was to identify a market need to transform on-premises software solutions in the portfolio into SAAS offerings, which opened up a new segment for the company and also helped retain large clients.
In his early years as a software developer, he joined a media technology start up in Missouri, named OSi-Traffic, which was later acquired by Harris Corporation. His most notable contribution at this time was identifying a market problem with a broadcast workflow between the traffic and automation solution and helped building an advanced solution that helped large broadcasters create both operational efficiencies and optimally monetize airtime.
Mr. Pakhira’s foundational roles include his time at the University of Central Missouri in 2004 as a software developer and his role as an application developer and network administrator at TR Gaines School of Technology at the University of Central Missouri in 2003. Throughout his career spanning over two decades, he has developed recognized expertise in business and technology strategy, customer acquisition and customer solutions, skills that have enabled him to deliver cost-effective technologies accessible to organizations of all sizes. His most notable contribution during this time was to use data to conceptualize and build out course offerings that helped drive a 200% increase in student enrollment for the department.
Mr. Pakhira’s academic background has been integral to his success. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2015, equipping him with advanced knowledge in business leadership and strategic decision-making. He also holds a Master of Science in information technology from the University of Central Missouri, completed in 2006, where he was named to the Dean’s List and received the Board of Governors Scholarship. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Central Missouri in 2004, graduating magna cum laude.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Pakhira attributes much of his professional growth to inspiring role models encountered early in life who motivated him in entrepreneurship and problem-solving. He also credits his educational achievements for expanding his knowledge base and empowering him to address complex challenges effectively, along with the support of his family, which has been a cornerstone throughout his journey.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Pakhira is actively engaged with several civic-minded organizations. Since 2019, he has served as a board member for Forbes Technology Council, contributing insights on emerging trends within the technology sector. He joined EEqual as a board member in 2020 and has been involved with Good AI Capital as a board member since 2021, guiding investments in artificial intelligence ventures. In addition, he is the chairman of the board at TiE Colorado and serves on advisory boards for both the University of Central Missouri and Advanced Tech Solutions.
Born in Kolkata, India, Mr. Pakhira values time spent with family and enjoys visiting mountain regions, vacationing and playing golf with friends outside of work.
