Famous painting created for Jazz Joy and Roy Global Radio by Kathryn Diane Gray is now available for less than 5 million bucks
“Hated it, too violent,” said Kathy Gray, who was looking and smelling good in her earring and kaftan gifts accented by her perfect new perfume as she celebrated her birthday at a matinee showing of the movie Novocaine with a host of family and friends whose seats were selflessly selected by her famed DJ husband Roy O’Dell Gray. Roy loved Novocaine.
“I had my bright yellow grip and forearm strengthener below my knee pointed towards the floor and this movie’s violence provided enough high-octane adrenaline for me to complete in just 30 minutes what is normally a 1-hour math-driven workout that increases the power of my tennis grip,” Roy said in a text to his publicist, who was not surprised when the quirky announcer insisted, “No, I’m not kidding, print that!”
Roy began experiencing the joy of utilizing the increased energy generated by action movies and opposing viewpoints to recall Bible verses and do extended multiplication math and exercise when he was about 21 years old and just starting out in broadcasting. “I found that a good action scene or a nice barrage of listeners expressing opinions about the music I play seemed to give me the fuel to bring a few more Bible verses to the top of my mind, do a few extra rows of math in my head and a few more push up reps.”
In recent years, Roy has added sports-based Bible verses to his mental mix and thanks the scores of listeners who have passionately shared their thoughts with the network over the years for “the strong mind and body that I use to help my wife, neighbors and other friends, not to mention the listeners around the globe who are blessed by my ability to joyfully muscle my way into my seat behind a hot microphone time and time again.”
Roy said he thought the Novocaine trailer that attracted his wife to the movie could have done a better job of communicating that this is no proverbial chick flick.
