Rocktab S500: Upgraded to Android 14 with new features, improved security, and battery life-available for existing users.
WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative provider of industrial IT solutions, is updating the new operating system for its rugged Rocktab S508 and Rocktab S510 tablets from the Rocktab S500 series, suitable for demanding environments. Instead of Android 12, the devices are now delivered with Android 14.
The IP65 and MIL-STD-810H certified Rocktab S500 tablets work in extreme conditions, withstanding drops from 1.2 meters and vibrations. They offer scratch-resistant, gesture-controlled touchscreens and are compact and user-friendly at just 2 cm deep.
The update to Android 14 optimizes the system performance of the Rocktab S508 and Rocktab S510, extends battery life and increases security with new data protection functions. New app management extends the battery life to up to 12 hours. This not only allows for longer productivity without charging interruptions, but can also eliminate the need for a spare battery on long working days, depending on the application. It also offers improved, more stable connections to Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth devices as well as faster data transfers. In addition, the user has more options for customization, such as adapting the clock and link design.
Existing customers who already own a Rocktab S508 or Rocktab S510 with the Android 12 operating system can receive the update free of charge from WEROCK.
