Tilefonitis, an AI-powered phone reception platform for appointment-based businesses, is now publicly available. Unlike prevailing AI tools designed to maximize autonomy and engagement, Tilefonitis is built around explicit refusals-deliberate constraints that prioritize governance, auditability, and human authority over feature expansion.
The current generation of AI systems increasingly operates autonomously, learning from user interactions and optimizing for conversion metrics. While these capabilities drive adoption in consumer applications, they create compliance risk in regulated environments where unpredictable behavior, hidden costs, and opaque decision-making conflict with legal, medical, and financial accountability requirements.
Tilefonitis addresses these risks through architectural constraints rather than post-deployment controls.
The system operates deterministically within predefined rules called Modes. AI behavior does not adapt based on call history, user feedback, or engagement outcomes. Responses follow fixed logic defined at deployment, ensuring predictable handling across all interactions.
Customer conversations are not treated as training data. The platform does not employ machine learning to improve responses, adjust tone, or refine booking strategies over time. Behavioral consistency is enforced through versioned configuration, not learned patterns.
Human authority is preserved by design. Medical topics trigger immediate escalation to staff-this rule cannot be overridden by business configuration. Booking decisions follow validation logic, not AI discretion. Administrative scope is enforced at the platform level.
All usage is metered and debited from prepaid wallets with atomic transaction guarantees. Emergency balance limits prevent unbounded spending. Costs are visible, capped, and never abstracted behind AI decision-making.
What Tilefonitis Refuses to Do
The platform is defined by its explicit refusals:
