South Korean AI foodtech company Nuvilab announced the official launch of its U.S. subsidiary in Silicon Valley, a strategic move marking a major milestone in its global expansion journey.
This expansion follows a multi-million-dollar exclusive supply agreement with numerous hospitals in the United States for Nutrivision AI, Nuvilab’s AIoT-based dietary analysis solution. The company has confirmed that three more U.S. hospitals have recently adopted the solution, and further nationwide expansion is underway.
Nutrivision AI enables real-time, contactless analysis of patient meals and nutritional intake. By automating the collection and processing of dietary data, the solution minimizes human error in foodservice management and supports personalized nutrition tracking-significantly easing the workload for hospital staff and enhancing patient safety at the same time.
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Nuvilab’s new U.S. subsidiary will serve as a strategic base for AI research, operational management, and global customer support. As the company strengthens its presence in the U.S. healthcare market, it aims to leverage this momentum to expand into other regions. By establishing a foothold in the world’s leading tech ecosystem, Nuvilab is positioning itself to collaborate more closely with international partners and adapt its AI-driven nutrition solutions to diverse healthcare environments around the globe.
Meanwhile, Nuvilab has consistently demonstrated its competitiveness in the international healthcare sector. It was ranked first in Korea and 11th worldwide in the ‘2024 FoodTech 500’, received an Innovation Award at ‘CES 2025’ for its AI-powered dietary technology, and was featured in the Energy & Environment category at the ‘2025 World Smart City Expo (WSCE)’.
Notably, Nuvilab recently signed two partnership agreements valued at USD 100,000 each in Japan. Given Japan’s similar childcare and preschool system to Korea, these partnerships recognize the value of Nuvilab’s AI-powered early childhood nutrition solution, YumYumKids. Currently, YumYumKids is used in over 1,100 childcare centers and preschools across Korea.
Logan Kim, CEO of Nuvilab, stated, “This milestone represents a significant step for Korean AI foodtech in reaching the international stage. We are committed to continuously improving our services to meet the diverse needs of healthcare and nutrition providers worldwide.”
