His previous experience includes serving as the vice president of investment banking for Sustainable Finance America in New York at Intesa Sanpaolo (from 2022 to 2023), and at Sustainable Finance Asia Pacific in Hong Kong (from 2020 to 2022), both of which allowed him to hone his leadership skills internationally.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Sabatino was a project manager for fintech, artificial intelligence, and innovation within investment banking across Europe at Intesa Sanpaolo from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, he served as a business angel and venture capitalist with Italian Angels for Growth from 2019 to 2023 and was among the founding members of the Green and Circular Economy Committee at The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao. He began his professional journey as a financial analyst at Accenture, where he engaged in big data analytics, budgeting, and forecasting projects to enhance his financial evaluation skills.
Mr. Sabatino’s academic background is equally extensive, having completed a global Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School, London Business School, and the University of Hong Kong Business School in 2023. He also holds a master’s degree in international finance and accounting from Università degli Studi di Torino, which followed a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from the same institution. His education is complemented with executive courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in artificial intelligence, and Saïd Business School (University of Oxford) in blockchain.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sabatino has been recognized for his professional and educational contributions and achievements. He was awarded an MBA merit scholarship by Columbia Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University in 2020 and received the Master’s Degree Career Award from EDISU in 2016.
