Earlier in his career, Mr. Mukherjee held the position of software development manager at McAfee LLC from 1998 to 2003. During this time, he led the integration of McAfee’s virus scanner with the Microsoft Windows operating system. Mr. Mukherjee’s career began at Novel in 1994, where he was the second employee to join the startup. Despite challenges related to work authorization as a foreign student, he made significant contributions to the company’s early success before moving on to McAfee for sponsorship reasons.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Mukherjee received a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics from San José State University in 1994. He also pursued coursework toward a master’s degree in computer engineering at Santa Clara University. Mr. Mukherjee attributes much of his success to the support of his wife and family, who have been instrumental in his journey.
