Mr. Ziari’s journey, both personally and professionally, is a testament to his unwavering resilience and determination. Born and raised in Iran, he faced systemic discrimination as a member of the Baha’i faith, a religious minority denied access to public education and employment, and as a member of the LGBT community. In response to these restrictions, he pursued higher education through the Baha’i Institute for Higher Education (BIHE), an underground university established the same year he was born to serve students excluded from Iran’s formal academic institutions.
At BIHE, Mr. Ziari earned a degree in civil engineering, choosing a field that offered the potential for independent work despite the government’s refusal to recognize his credentials. He later enrolled in a master’s program in water quality and hydrology, which was abruptly suspended after the arrest of its faculty. He began a second master’s program in structural engineering, but was forced to withdraw when his father was arrested for his faith, leaving Mr. Ziari to care for his family and manage their business.
Repeatedly denied educational and professional opportunities, Mr. Ziari ultimately made the difficult decision to leave his homeland with his parents’ love and support. In 2014, he immigrated to the United States to continue his education and build a future free of religious persecution, taking advantage of the many opportunities in the country. Within a decade, he earned two master’s degrees — Master of Engineering from the University of Houston in 2017 and an MBA in business strategy and marketing from Rice Business at Rice University in 2021— and secured a position within a Fortune 500 corporation.
While completing his education, Mr. Ziari also pursued professional work. Having served as a program manager at Danaher Corporation since 2024, he acts as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, coordinating efforts across various functions of the business. His role involves aligning timelines, forecasting project milestones and leveraging technology to drive productivity and efficiency. Prior to this position, he was a process improvement consultant from 2022 to 2024 and held roles as a program manager for software development and a senior business analyst.
Before joining Danaher Corporation, Mr. Ziari worked as a project manager in floodplain management for the Harris County Engineering Department for five years. His early career also included serving as a project engineer for the Baran Commercial Complex Project at Boland Payeh from 2011 to 2014. His industry expertise has been honed through these positions, along with his certifications as a Project Management Professional and Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Ziari is deeply passionate about personal growth and self-awareness. In his free time, he enjoys instrumental music, psychology, meditation, yoga and self-help tools. He is also interested in increasing his knowledge in the sciences, including quantum physics and the laws of attraction, and is an avid moviegoer.
