Ms. Lowry has established a distinguished career as a technical solution leader, currently operating as an owner and technical solution leader in a freelance capacity since 2024. With over 45 years of professional experience, she has demonstrated expertise in business growth strategies, helping clients enhance their business needs, implementing new open systems for data and providing archive solutions. Her career is marked by significant achievements, including co-owning three patents that focus on optimizing storage systems to save companies substantial costs.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Lowry served as director and technical solution manager at Kyndryl from 2021 to 2024. During this time, she was recognized with the President’s Acceleration Cup for her and the team’s work with Kaiser Permanente. Before joining this firm, she was a technical solution manager at IBM for the preceding three years, where she was honored with The Best of IBM award in 2018. Her tenure at IBM also included roles as mobility enterprise manager for workplace support services for seven years and technical enterprise solution architect and global resource manager enablement program lead for two years.
Ms. Lowry’s early roles at IBM were as a technical and engagement solution architect from 2005 to 2008 and as manager of UNIX and Intel server, IMAC and end-user services for the preceding eight years. Before beginning her civilian career with IBM, she completed military service in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1997, where she earned a Joint Service Commendation, a Navy Commendation, two Navy Achievement Medals, three Meritorious Unit Commendations, an Overseas Service Medal and was a marksman. She became the first woman to be boarded on a destroyer (USS Paul F. Foster DD-964) and received a Navy Commendation Medal for her contributions.
Ms. Lowry’s academic background includes a Master of Arts in global leadership and sustainable development and a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Hawaii Pacific University. Additionally, she holds numerous certifications, such as a human research certification from the National Institutes of Health, IBM Global Sales School and Microsoft Azure.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Lowry is actively involved in civic organizations. She volunteered bi-monthly at St. Thomas More Catholic Student Parish in Denver Colorado and serves as a board member for the Meadow Wood Homeowners Association. Her commitment to mentorship is evident through her role as a mentor at IBM from 2015 to 2021 and her leadership in climate change projects.
Outside of her career, Ms. Lowry enjoys maintaining her hillside garden, watercolor painting, biking and spending time with her five grandchildren in her free time. In the upcoming years, she plans to publish a book she co-wrote with her father, focus on showcasing her artwork and explore further opportunities related to sustainability initiatives. Overall, she is most inspired by her mother’s philosophy that success comes from helping others succeed — a principle that continues to guide her personal and professional life.
