He is the founder of PG Advisors, a London-based independent advisory firm, where he leads strategic engagements at the intersection of artificial intelligence, Web3 and digital transformation for consulting / PE firms, family businesses and start-ups on Gen-AI and Agentic AI. He also serves as an advisor with GLG, the World’s Expert Insight Network reinforcing his reputation as a respected authority on information technology and business process outsourcing. He is a recognized CXO roundtable keynote speaker on AI and AI governance and has moderated panels and delivered keynote speeches at United Nations Headquarters in Geneva and Vienna.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Gopalakrishnan served as Interim Chief Executive and President at start-ups, steering growth and technical scale-up while driving AI-led transformations. He was senior vice president at Tech Mahindra (2022–2023), where he built the European business and oversaw post-merger integration. He spent 17 years at Infosys from 2005 across UK&I, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, rising to Associate Vice President and later served as Portfolio Head (until 2022), delivering major wins and spearheading the growth agenda across Resources, Oil and Gas, and Insurance verticals. He began his career at ITC Limited in 1999, progressing from management trainee to project manager across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Agri-commodity Trading, Finance and Treasury functions.
Mr. Gopalakrishnan holds a Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Madras (1997) and an MBA from Pondicherry University (1999). He has completed executive education at Stanford Graduate School of Business and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In 2025 he finished a University of Nicosia course on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, NFTs and the metaverse. He is certified as an AI governance professional (AIGP) by the IAPP, a certified ISO 42001 AI Management System Lead Auditor, alongside multiple credentials in AI and data science.
He is active in industry and civic roles; he is on the board of trustees of Clubfoot India UK Charity (since 2025). He was a STEM Ambassador with the British Science Association (2017-2020), chairs and serves as a senior fellow of the AI for Developing Countries Forum (since 2024) and a committee member with the Swiss Business School on The Human Factor.
His work has been recognised with an International Achievers Award (2024) and ranking as AI Leader #3 in the Top 25 Global Consulting Leader Awards (2024).
