Boston, MA, March 25, 2026 –(PR.com)– The Web Marketing Association has announced that submissions are now open for the 30th Annual WebAward Competition for Website Development, including the category recognizing the best technology websites in the world. Technology companies and digital agencies can submit their sites through the WebAwards platform at www.webaward.org. The entry deadline for technology websites is May 29, 2026.
Now in its third decade, the WebAwards competition evaluates excellence in website development across 86 industry sectors, including technology-focused categories such as computer hardware, computer software, electronics, information services, SaaS platforms, and interactive services.
“In the technology industry, a company’s website often serves as the first demonstration of its innovation,” said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Technology companies must present sophisticated products and complex solutions in ways that are both understandable and engaging for potential customers, partners, and investors.”
Rice noted that modern technology websites must combine technical depth with exceptional usability.
“Today’s tech websites frequently include product demonstrations, developer documentation, API portals, knowledge centers, and interactive roadmaps,” Rice explained. “At the same time, they must deliver fast performance, strong security, and intuitive navigation. Companies competing in rapidly evolving fields like AI, SaaS, and enterprise platforms must ensure their digital presence reflects the sophistication of their technology.”
Because technology markets move quickly, the quality of a website can influence credibility and adoption.
“The WebAward Competition gives technology companies and their development teams an opportunity to benchmark their websites against industry standards,” Rice added. “Being recognized as an award-winning website strengthens brand credibility, improves search visibility, and demonstrates leadership in both digital experience and technological innovation.”
Judging Criteria for Technology Websites
Entries in the WebAwards competition are reviewed by a panel of experienced digital professionals who evaluate each site using seven core performance criteria:

Technology websites are first compared with other entries in the technology category and then measured against the overall WebAward standard of excellence.
