SANFORD, N.C. – September 2025 – Sandhills.News is launching Chapter-by-Chapter, a new column dedicated to celebrating writers from Moore, Lee, and Harnett counties. The series will highlight books, authors, and storytelling that reflect the culture and creativity of the Sandhills region.
“This column is a way for neighbors to discover the writers in their own backyards,” said Stephanie Sellers, editor of Sandhills.News. “It’s about strengthening connections through literature and offering readers a chance to explore the perspectives of people who live right here in the tri-county area.”
By featuring novels, poetry, history, children’s books, and comics, Chapter-by-Chapter aims to broaden the cultural conversation and invite residents to engage with stories that reflect local experiences. The column also hopes to encourage new voices and provide readers with opportunities to support homegrown talent.
Authors should review guidelines under Submit News on the Sandhills News website.
The first installments of Chapter-by-Chapter will appear this fall on Sandhills.News. Community members are invited to suggest authors or books for future features.
