Since 2021, she has led engineering, science and business program teams to drive innovation through product management. She has successfully built and launched products in various business lines, ranging from workforce planning, recruiting, last-mile delivery and audio advertising. Currently, she is working on opportunities in Amazon’s retail catalog.
Ms. Naziruddin’s responsibilities include defining visions, strategies, roadmaps, and features for product development, identifying customer pain points, understanding market and customer needs, and managing end-to-end product planning and execution. Through her work, she engages with various stakeholders, including customers and senior Amazon leadership, such as vice presidents and senior vice presidents. These products have increased profitability for the company, gained patents and resuted in a significant customer base.
Before joining Amazon, Ms. Naziruddin honed her expertise at Guidehouse (formerly PwC Public Sector) as a senior consultant in technology and strategy between 2019 and 2021. Her consulting work included significant projects, such as modernizing the New York State Education Department’s licensing system, updating the tenant application system for the New York City Housing Authority and engaging in business transformation efforts for New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Ms. Naziruddin’s career also included a pivotal role as a senior analyst in technology and strategy at New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Contract Services from 2018 to 2019, where she successfully led the implementation of invoicing modules for the PASSPort initiative, a $50 million effort to streamline procurement, contracting and invoicing for the city of New of York. Her career journey has also been marked by several other diverse roles at IDEO, Eaglemoss Publishing Group, Design for America, Dun & Bradstreet, New York University, Weatherford Engineering and Mahindra Group.
Highly educated, Ms. Naziruddin received a bachelor’s degree in technology specializing in mechanical engineering in 2014 and a Master of Business Administration in technology management with a concentration in operations and project management in 2015 from NMIMS University. Subsequently, she received a Master of Science in Management of Technology in 2018 from New York University. Ms. Naziruddin holds certifications from the Scrum Alliance, the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Scaled Agile Framework (SaFe 5), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Indian Statistical Institute in addition to business level proficiency certifications in French, German and Mandarin.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Naziruddin is actively involved in civic organizations, volunteering for the Isha Foundation and mentoring students at New York University. She has also been involved in numerous projects and publications, such as the Freedge Project at New York University and “Cross Docking in Indian Retail,” published by NMIMS University.
Ms. Naziruddin’s contributions have been recognized with the President’s Service Award from New York University in 2017. She also received internal organization-wide awards from Amazon Web Services in 2021 and the Mahindra Group in 2016. She attributes her success to God, her supportive family and her love for learning. Looking ahead, Ms. Naziruddin plans to venture into entrepreneurship with aspirations of becoming a venture capitalist. She is particularly interested in educational technology as a means to give back to the community by addressing challenges within traditional learning models and helping individuals pursue their interests effectively.
