Mrs. Cornett’s journey began with a role as a data analyst at Ally in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 2013 to 2015. This position gave her a deep understanding of data analysis and the banking industry. In 2016, she advanced to become a quantitative analyst II for the organization, where she focused on data modeling and building financial, risk and prepayment models. Mrs. Cornett’s interest in AI was piqued when a vendor introduced an AI solution capable of constructing data models rapidly. This led her to pursue further knowledge in the field and eventually become a senior quantitative analyst at Ally from 2017 to 2019.
Mrs. Cornett transitioned to Tresata in 2019 as an AI software delivery manager, liaising between developers and executive leadership. Her ability to translate complex technical requirements into simpler terms for C-suite executives was instrumental in her success. Later that year, Mrs. Cornett returned to Ally as a product owner before taking on the role of product owner for the customer decision hub from 2020 to 2023, where she successfully implemented a machine-learning solution at a Fortune 500 bank, marking one of her most significant achievements.
Mrs. Cornett’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in international business from Auburn University in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Economics from Clemson University in 2013. Her academic achievements have been complemented by several credentials, such as certified Pega business architect and design thinking for innovation from University of Virginia in 2023 and several designations through HubSpot.
In addition to her professional roles, Mrs. Cornett is actively involved in several professional and civic organizations. She is a member of the Global Chamber of Commerce and Women in AI and served on the planning board for the Town of Davidson. Previously, she was a board member of the Global Chamber Charlotte.
