Before joining RailComm, Mr. Jimenez served as a project management office manager at Prudential Financial Inc. in the Greater New York City Area from 2015 to 2016. He led a team responsible for ensuring the proper function of actuarial and finance models. Recruited to Transamerica Corporation, he spent 2008 to 2015 in various positions, starting as a senior project manager for insurance systems integration and concluding his tenure as a Latin America program manager, responsible for managing all business and technology initiatives within the region.
A significant milestone in Mr. Jimenez’s career occurred during his tenure as a program manager for the European Solvency II Regulation global implementation at Transamerica Corporation from 2010 to 2011 in The Hague area of the Netherlands. As such, he participated in an international team that developed the infrastructure necessary to demonstrate the company’s solvency to regulators under the Solvency II program. This initiative required extensive collaboration among business units across Asia, Europe and the Americas, with Mr. Jimenez serving on the central group based in The Hague. He considers this accomplishment a defining moment in his professional journey.
Mr. Jimenez began his professional journey as a software engineer with Rockwell Collins (now Collins Aerospace) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Recognized and rewarded for his hard work ethic and ability to work with diverse teams, he quickly was promoted to system engineer, then to engineering manager, and, finally, to senior project manager. He previously excelled as a software developer at NetworkIP from 1999 to 2001, after working as an information technology technician at LeTourneau University between 1997 and 1999.
Before his civilian work, Mr. Jimenez’s career foundation was established through military service as a corporal and supply technician in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997. During this influential time, he was introduced to technology through working with an electronics maintenance company, where he was exposed to computers and radios. This experience sparked Mr. Jimenez’s interest in electronics and computer science, leading him toward a career as a software engineer.
Highly educated, Mr. Jimenez received a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, in 2000 and a Master of Business Administration in management from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. Additionally, Mr. Jimenez received credentials as a certified project management professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, where he is also a professional member.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Jimenez has served as a board member of Vital Seed Ministries International Inc. since 2019, continuing his involvement with various civic-minded organizations.
