SAN JOSÉ, CR / ACCESS Newswire / February 18, 2026 / Americas Cardroom announced the successful launch of its new Smash & Splash Sunday major poker tournaments, attracting 8,202 combined entries in their inaugural weekend.
The weekly online poker events feature buy-ins of $22 and $11, with guarantees of $75,000 and $50,000 respectively. The launch marks a strategic expansion of the operator’s Sunday tournament schedule aimed at small- and mid-stakes players.
The $75,000 GTD Smash attracted 3,957 entries and generated a total prize pool of $79,140, exceeding its posted guarantee. The event paid 486 places and included 182 satellite qualifiers.
The tournament was won by “dougm83,” who entered once and earned $11,891.
The $50,000 GTD Splash drew 4,245 entries and paid 512 places. The event included 323 satellite qualifiers and closed with a $7,550 overlay.
The Splash champion, “P0KERRAT,” secured $7,623 from a single $11 entry.
